Ladies from the HHCA and HHHBA member companies are invited to join us at Copetown Woods Golf Club for 9 holes of golf, dinner and prizes! The Ladies 9 & Dine will take place on Monday, September 29th with a tee-off time of 3 p.m. The cost is $95 per player (plus HST) and a portion of your registration fee will be donated to Habitat for Humanity! This is a great opportunity for golfers of all levels to come out and improve their golf game and network with fellow ladies in the construction industry.
On Demand is a leading edge electronic bid invitation and document control system developed by the HHCA Electronic Plansroom partner, Infinite Source. Currently there are several bid invitation services in the market that typically cost thousands of dollars a year to the General or Prime Contractor.
Beginning this September, the HHCA and Infinite Source will be offering an exciting opportunity to build a comprehensive online Hamilton regional network of HHCA member firms for the purposes of restricted bid invitation and document distribution at no cost if you're a member of the HHCA. The added bonus - the HHCA is working collectively with 11 other local construction associations in Ontario to create a province-wide network - all accessible on one platform. GAB: We Have to Stop Meeting Like This!
Get Acquainted Breakfast (GAB) is back! Our first session is "We Have to Stop Meeting Like This!" presented by Laurel Hubber of Laurel Hubber Consulting on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 7:30 a.m. at the HHCA. Registration is only $15 (plus tax) for HHCA members.
Meetings are one of the most important tools we have to achieve results at work - and yet they can also be one of the most unproductive and expensive ways we spend our time. In this GAB session we will explore practical techniques for transforming meetings into purposeful, engaging and efficient tools they are meant to be.
Topics that will be covered:
Balacing "how" you meet with "what" you accomplish
Maximizing accountability and engagement of the team or group
Strengthening your own personal communication skills
